This site-specific installation emerged from a single-day process rooted in material gathering and personal reflection. Constructed from branches and a collage of ginkgo leaves collected from the USC campus and from ginkgo trees in Rhode Island, a place deeply tied to the artist’s identity, the work brings together two geographies into a shared form. The act of assembling these materials became both physical and spiritual, unfolding under emotional intensity. Looking upward is required to encounter the piece, positioning the body in a posture of awareness and vulnerability.
